This is the 1926 first edition of Dry Martini: A Gentleman Turns to Love by John Thomas, published by the George H. Doran Company. It features a dark red cover with an illustrated cover label. The illustration shows a gentleman in a top hat with a cane seated at a small bar table being served a dry martini by a mustachioed waiter. Along the bottom sides of the illustration, there are three legs walking away in skirts and heels. The illustration is in shades of black and red. The spine also has a paper label with the title of the book. The title page is illustrated with a man in a martini glass. The book has 250 pages.
The book is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The front cover label has some small scratches and discoloration. The spine label is cracked down the center and has a large section of paper missing. The covers have general wear to corners and edges with some discoloration to all the covers. The inside front cover has what looks like a blank page ripped out. The front spine has started to separate along the top quarter. The back spine is still attached. The pages are yellowed.
The book measures 8 inches by 5.75 inches. It is 1.75 inches thick.
