This is a lovely antique 1919 suede cover edition of A Man Without A Country by Edward Everett Hale, published by Borse & Hopkins. It features a forest green suede cover with the title lettered in gold. The top page ends are also gilded in gold. The inside front and back covers are the same forest green, this time in grosgrain satin. There is a photograph of Hale next to the title page, and the title page is embossed in gold with a gold decorative border. There are 46 pages followed by one page of other titles in the series. The book is stamped Pat'd. March 8, 1919 in the bottom right corner on the last page.
The book is in great antique condition for its age and use. The suede has some wear and slight general discoloration. There is one large stain on the front cover in the lower left corner. The covers are still attached and the spine is stiff. The pages are yellowed with some areas of discoloration. There is a small G.H. Rollins Co. Booksellers stamp in the front pages.
The book measures 7 by 4.25 inches. It is a quarter of an inch thick.
