This is the 1972 edition of Simca's Cuisine by Simone "Simca" Beck in collaboration with Patricia Simon, published by Alfred A. Knopf. The book has the original cream colored dust jacket with the photo of Simca and lettering and decorations in brown and pink. The book cover underneath is the reverse negative of the jacket with lettering and decorations in cream and brown on a pink background. The cookbook is illustrated with black line drawings throughout. There are 5 sections with 31 chapters over 326 numbered pages.
The book is in great vintage condition for its age and use. The dust jacket has general wear to corners and edges with some areas of missing or torn paper. The cover underneath is in excellent condition with minimal wear. Someone stamped a red H inside the front cover and added in a clipping about wild turkey. There is an ink inscription, "To Shelley from Kim & Judy Christmas 1974" on the front blank page. The covers are attached at the spine. The pages have yellowed slightly.
The book measures 9.25 inches by 6.5 inches. It is 1.5 inches thick.
