This is the 1954 edition of Marguerite de Angeli's Book of Nursery and Mother Goose Rhymes, published by Doubleday and Company. It features several beloved nursery rhymes, including Mary Had A Little Lamb, Little Bo Peep, Pat A Cake, among others. Each page is fully illustrated in either black and white or full color with multiple rhymes per page. The front cover also has an illustration of Mother Goose flying on her goose in green and pink with the cream cover. There are 192 pages.
The book is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The covers have general wear to corners and edges. There is a piece of green label tape on the spine. The covers have some staining and discoloration. This used to be a library book, and there are library stamps inside both the front and back covers. It also looks like a library card pocket was removed from the inside front cover. The spines are still attached. The pages are yellowed, but the illustrations are still bright.
The book measures 9 inches by 12.5 inches. It is one inch thick.
