Les Trois Contes by Gustave Flaubert Vintage 1959 Collection Nelson Edition with Original Dust Jacket

This is the 1959 Collection Nelson Edition of Les Trois Contes by Gustave Flaubert with its original dust jacket and written in the original French. The dust jacket features a full color illustration of three deer - a buck, a doe, and a fawn - standing in a forest. The title is lettered in light pink and the author in light blue. The spine is white with a the same pink and blue colors for a small floral decoration. The back of the jacket has a list of other titles in the Collection Nelson. The book covers underneath are white with red borders and green lettering. There are 240 pages.

The book is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The book jacket has some wear to corners and edges, especially along the spine. The colors are still bright with some small water stains along the spine. I can't tell if the cross between the buck's antler's on the front cover is original to the design or colored in later. The book covers underneath have minimal wear, just yellowed. The spines are attached. The pages are yellowed and the page ends have some foxing. Someone wrote F. Schn... mi 66 in ink in the front cover. Mi 66 means mid-66 in French.

The book is pocket sized and measures 6.5 by 4.5 inches. It is 1 inch thick.
