This is a white ceramic cake stand with painted flowers. It features a fluted base with a scalloped edge. The plate also has an asymmetrical edge with a swirl on one side and more of a scallop around the others. The top is painted with blue, white, and yellow roses with green, yellow, and brown leaves. The rim of the cake plate and the swirl edge are painted in gold. There is no maker's mark on the bottom.
The stand is in good vintage condition for its age and use. There are no chips or cracks. The base has a blueish tint around the bottom. I think this is original to the stand. The paint on the top is intact with minor scratches. There is a splotch of blue paint in the big main rose and a splotch of yellow to the leaf diagonal to that. Again, I'm not sure if this is original or a blemish. The gold paint around the rim has started to fade. The silver washer and screw on the underside of the base is missing the nut, but the base is still secure without it.
The cake stand measures 8.25 inches in diameter. The base is 3.5 inches in diameter. The stand sits 4 inches tall.
