This is a vintage green tin lunch pail paired with a blue tin Universal thermos. The lunch pail has a dome top with metal clasps and metal top handle. The sides of the dome have embossed stars and inset frames to place a label. The bottom is marked Patented 1.316.249 1.436.417, which corresponds to a patent for a Lunch Kit or the Like by Edward H. Williamson on December 22, 1922. The inside is gold colored. The lunch kit is accompanied by a blue tin Universal thermos with a plastic yellow colored cap. Inside and under the cap are silver metal.
The lunch kit is in vintage condition for its age and use. The pail's metal fittings have all rusted both inside and out. The lid closes and the latches work. The paint on the back and side has discolored, leaving a large lighter green area to the lid. The thermos is also very rusty, especially on the bottom and back side of the thermos. It also has a large vertical stripe where the paint has faded. The cap has staining and discoloration but no chips or cracks. Overall it's got great vintage patina! Please see photos!
The pail measures 9 inches long and 6.25 inches tall. It is 4.25 inches wide.
