This is the 1952 edition of the Better Homes and Gardens Second Storybook. The book is filled with classic stories and poems and illustrated with their illustrations from their original editions. For example, You Are Old, Father William by Lewis Carroll is accompanied by John Tenniel's original illustrations. It features a orange-pink linen cover with blue and white lettering and a blue, yellow, and white illustration of classic characters. The spine is also illustrated. The inside front and back covers are also illustrated. There are 176 pages with 19 total stories, fables, folktales, and poems.
The book is in great vintage condition for its age and use. There is minimal general wear to the cover and spine with a faint stain to the lower right front corner. The covers are still attached at the spine. The pages are yellowed. Page 25/26 has the top right corner torn out.
The book measures 10.25 by 7.75 inches. It is 1 inch thick.
