This is a California Pottery cookie jar with a unique flower handle lid. The cookie jar is all ceramic with a rounded bottom. The bottom and lid are a olive green and the bottom has two inset flowers on both front and back. The lid sits on top with a bit of an overhang. The hand of the lid are two sculpted flowers, one light orange-pink and one dark pink sitting on darker green-brown leaves. The whole jar has a very lily pad or lotus flower vibe. The bottom is marked Calif Usa 1047.
The jar is in great vintage condition for its age and use. The jar has general wear overall, but the glazing is still shiny with some overall crackling. The colors are bright with minimal to no discoloration or fading.
There are no chips or cracks to the jar or lid. They are still attached firmly to the lid.
The jar measures 6 inches across at its widest point. It is 4 inches in diameter at the base and 7.75 inches tall, including the lid.
