This is an undated edition of Wee Wifie by Rosa Nouchette Carey, published by Street & Smith, Publishers. It features a dark red cover with black lettering and decorations. The spine is lettered in gold with black border lines. Carey was an English novelist, popular for her stories for young girls, but Wee Wifie was a detour from her normal writing. It had themes of addiction, mental health struggles, and domestic struggles. This edition has 395 pages with several pages of Street & Smith advertisements at the end.
The book is in vintage condition for its age and use. While undated, this is most likely an antique edition before 1910. Wee Wifey was originally published in 1869, and Street & Smith mostly focused on magazines and paperbacks after the 1910s. The covers have wear with heavy areas of discoloration and fading, especially to the corners and edges on the front and back covers. There are a couple of small holes in the spine. The gold lettering on the spine is bright and mostly intact. The spines are attached, but cracked at the title page, making the pages wobbly and loose in the binding, and causing the first few pages to stick out from the cover ends. There are some foxing and stains to a few of the pages. The pages are yellowed.
The book measures 7.5 by 5.25 inches. It is 1.5 inches thick.
