This is a set of 3 antique South Seas editions of Robert Louis Stevenson's works, published in 1925 by Scribners. They feature red embossed covers with Stevenson's monogram on the front. The spines are decorated with vines and lettering in gold. The front and end papers feature an antique latin map of the South Seas. Scribners published 32 books in the South Seas Editions. This is book 15, Poems (Volume II - Ballads, New Poems) with 285 pages; book 29, Letters (Volume 1) with 397 pages; and book 27, Essays on Literature on Nature Juvenalia with 377 pages. All have gilded top page edges.
The books are in great antique condition for their age and use. The covers have general wear with most wear to corners and edges. There is some darker discoloration on the edges of the covers where hands might turn the covers. The gold lettering is intact with minimal fading. The spines are attached. The pages are yellowed. The gilt edge has darkened.
The books measure 6.75 by 4.5 inches. They are about 1 inch thick.
