Washington’s Childhood Home Print in Adirondack Frame Vintage Possibly Antique

This is a print of Adelaide Heibel's Washington's Childhood Home in a beautiful Adirondack style wood frame. The frame features carved crosspieces with crossbeams and white enamel tacks at each of the joints. The crosspieces are dove and tail joints with the enamel nailed in. The print features Washington's childhood cottage with two trees next to a river. The print was printed by the Gerlach-Barklow Co out of Joliet, Il. It is covered by a glass panel in the front and has a wood back.

This frame is in good condition for its age and use. It’s a little dusty along the top and in the joints. The glass is clear with a few very small scratches toward the top of the glass. The crosspieces are attached firmly. There is glue remnants around the bottom right crosspiece, so it looks like maybe that fell off at some point and was glued back on. The print has yellowed, giving it a nice patina. The are two tacks on the back with picture twine, but the twine has snapped in half. The wood back doesn't cover the whole frame, so someone put a plastic straw along the bottom of the back to keep it from wobbling around. The straw does not show through to the front.

The frame measures 16.5 inches long by 20 inches tall. It is 1 inches thick.
