This is an oval framed print of Henry Raeburn's portrait of William Ferguson of Kilrie. Raeburn was a Scottish portrait painter in the late 1700s/early 1800s, most famous for his painting Boy with a Rabbit. This is what looks like a framed magazine print, as the other side of the print under the cardboard has an image of a British frigate. The print is matted with a tan mat. The frame is oval and brown tin metal. The back has a cardboard cover with metal tabs holding it in place. There is no hanging hardware.
The frame and print are in good vintage condition for their age and use. The frame glass is clear with minimal to no clouding or scratches. The print is still bright with some small flattened out wrinkles. The mat has minimal to no wear or discoloration. The frame does have scratches with general wear all over especially to the upper left and bottom right of the frame. There are only tabs on one half of the frame. The cardboard does have a hole in the top center - potentially trying to create space for a nail head to hang the frame.
The frame measures 10.5 inches across by 12.5 inches high. It is half an inch thick.
