What a gorgeous ironstone pitcher! This pitcher is marked Thomas Hughes Ironstone China on the bottom. The stamp on the bottom dates the pitcher from 1860 to 1894. This pitcher has an oval body with a fluted pour spout. The handle has molded edges with a flower on top of the handle and a leaf motif where the handle attaches to the pitcher. A must-have addition to any farmhouse or cottage décor!
This pitcher is in good antique condition for its age and use. The glazing is intact with some dulling to the glaze on the handle. There are several small lines where the glazing is discolored. The bottom inside of the pitcher is also discolored. There is one large chip to the bottom spout side of the pitcher. It is only slightly visible when the pitcher is sitting on a flat surface, but please see the photos!
The pitcher measures 8 inches tall and 7.5 inches from the tip of the handle to the tip of the spout. It is 5.25 inches wide at its widest spot.
