This is a Wittnauer Scout 35-mm film camera. Wittnauer began producing the Scout camera in 1957 and continued until about 1963. Most of the Scouts were produced by Braun in Germany. This camera comes with its original leather case with attached carrying strap. The camera is silver chrome with black wrapping. It’s got an amazing midcentury look!
This camera is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The camera is missing some black wrapping on the front and underneath the leather case, exposing the chrome underneath. Both the viewfinder and the lens look cloudy. The camera is untested but the shutter button does press down and all the dials move. The front lens cover is not quite flush with the camera. The front of the case is embossed with the Wittnauer logo. The leather has general wear with some discoloration and wrinkling.
The camera in the case measures 5.5 inches long by 3.75 inches tall. It is 2.75 inches wide at its widest point.
