This is a rectangular, lidded tin from the National Biscuit Company. This tin features a lovely full color print on the lid with some redbud trees, some flowers, and just the top glimpse of a cottage's roof. There are rolling mountains in the background and small path in the foreground. The four sides of the tin are gold with green border lines. The bottom is marked NBC Trademark. National Biscuit Company is now known as Nabisco and the NBC logo on the bottom dates this tin between 1917 and 1947.
The tin is in good condition for its age and use. The top has several areas of scratches, especially in the upper right and lower left corners. The edges have small rust and tarnish spots all over, and in general, the tin has scratches and areas of tarnish. The lid opens and shuts easily, though the lid will sometimes pop open slightly instead of shutting all the way. The inside has remnants of some sort of red paint or material. These blobs have stripped away the gold color leaving silver behind. There are scratches and tarnish spots as well to the inside of the tin.
The tin measures 11.25 inches long by just shy of 8 inches wide. It sits 2.75 inches tall.
