This is a small, rectangular trinket or jewelry box with silver metal plating and a cedar wood interior. The box has straight vertical lines on all four sides and wavy lines on the top. The top also has two embossed chrysanthemum flowers. The sides of the lid are smooth, except the front has a raised bar to help lift the lid. The front of the box also has a small drawer at the bottom with a small silver ring to pull it open. The bottom of the box is also clad in silver metal. There is a faded mark that looks like a Y inside a flower.
The box is in good vintage condition for its age and use. The metal does have some discoloration with darker areas and tarnished areas. The bottom has wear with multiple dark spots and scratches. The wood inside is intact with no chips or cracks. The ring on the drawer is a little loose but is still attached and the drawer opens and shuts easily.
The box measures 4.5 inches long by 3.5 inches wide. It is 3 inches tall.
