This is the antique Stratford Edition of The Mystery of Mrs. Blencarrow by Mrs. Oliphant and published by the F.M. Lupton Publishing Company of New York. It features a decorated cover and spine with the title in a gold square. There are 186 pages.
The book is in fair antique condition for its age and use. The covers are worn with discoloration and staining. The gold and decorations on the spine are faded. The spine also has tears at top and bottom. The covers are attached but cracked. The title page has detached and is separate from the book. Someone wrote in pencil in several areas inside the front and back cover. One of these persons wrote the date April 26 1897, so the book is at least that old! The pages are very yellowed with foxing.
The book measures 7.25 inches by 5 inches. It is about 1 inch thick.
